GREATER PINE ISLAND ELKS 7TH ANNUAL CHARITABLE TRUST SNOWBIRD ZERO K MARATHON

Greetings fellow Snowbird Marathoners!
The 7th Annual Snowbird Marathon will be February 25, 2023, starting at the VFW Post 4353, 8150 Stringfellow Road, St James City, FL. T-shirt pick-up begins at noon, costume contest at 2:00, race time 3:00, and awards at 4:00. This year awards for costumes include First and Second place male and female individuals and teams. The costume contest is held before the race so that everyone can see and enjoy all the hard work you’ve been putting into your marathon attire. We will have extra parking just down the street, so you don’t have to worry about finding a parking spot. You may want to bring a lawn chair since seating is limited. We will have food trucks, vendors, and plenty to drink. Yard Dog Charlie will be performing from 12:00 – 2:00 and Rudy Cox and his band, Jumpin’ Fences, will provide live music from 3:00 until 6:00. Of course, the obstacle course will be back better than ever with fun stations, good for a laugh if not exactly good for exercise! Back by popular demand, we will be setting up the famous Dehydration Station. The Snowbird herself will also be available for photo ops along with some new surprises. You can again look forward to lots of fabulous door prizes which will be drawn and ready for pick up as soon as you finish the race. Register by January 10th to insure entry. Then just check your bib number at the booth. 50/50 raffles will also be held. This year’s t-shirt features a new design and soft cotton blend. So, invite your friends, family and neighbors and mark the date. Sign up at VFW Post 4353, CW Fudge Factory for just $25. As a special convenience you may also sign up by mail. Just open the attached registration pages, fill out, enclose your registration fee, and send to: Snowbird Marathon; GPI Elks, 5630 Pine Island Road, Bokeelia, FL 33922. Sign up by mail is only available through January 10, 2023. You can also sign up online at: GREATER-PINE-ISLAND-ELKS-2781.CONSTANTCONTACTSITES.COM (service fee applies). Please contact us if you would like to become a sponsor for this year’s event. This is a great opportunity to promote your business on the t-shirt, on the obstacle course and/or door prize baskets. This year the proceeds will go to the Greater Pine Island Elks Hurricane Ian Recovery Fund so that our lodge can rebuilds and continue with the charitable work for the youth and communities of Greater Pine Island.

See you there!
